The story starts getting interesting when it is revealed that Yuki is actually a pureblood vampire from the Kuran family. But, she only gets this name when she transforms into a vampire.

Our Thoughts

This anime does an amazing job of mixing its genres. It is a supernatural romance that takes place in a high school, and it does really well in making the plot sweet and intriguing. The Vampire Knights anime likes to show us a more romantic side of vampires.

The bloodthirsty beasts from other films are not the vibe you will see here. We really liked this anime, the art style is pretty, but the true beauty of this anime comes from the storytelling and characters.

The overall rating of 7 from IMDb and MAL sounds accurate for this anime and we would rate it similarly. Vampire Knights is certainly an anime you should watch if you get the chance.

But Miki does not realize that Yuu might soon become her stepbrother, not knowing that she continues to fall in love with him.

Our Thoughts

This anime is enjoyed by many, not only because of the fun and interesting characters but also because the story is funny and intriguing.

It is an amusing anime that will not suit everyone but for those that appreciate the animation, story, and characters, you are in for a wild ride.

While the animation is certainly a little dated, for those of you that appreciate a good story and can enjoy an almost retro-looking anime, this is certainly something you could enjoy.

The rating of 7.5 on IMDb and MAL is about right in our opinion. If we rated Marmalade Boy it would get a 7/10 in our opinion.

The story, voice acting, and art style are all complementary and add to the overall charm of this shoujo anime.

Rumbling Hearts

What Is The Story About?

Rumbling Hearts is about four friends who are very close. Everything looks normal at the beginning until one of the friends falls into a coma. This has a knock-on effect on the relationships of the remaining friends.

The characters must continue with their lives and the anime explores complex emotions like betrayal, love, escapism, and aspirations.

Our Thoughts

Rumbling Hearts is a fantastic little anime that seamlessly blends romance and slice of life in a way that mimics real emotions and situations. This anime has a great combination of emotional factors and drama that work well to drive the story forward.

On top of that, the characters and plot are really well written. With an overall 7.5 rating on both IMDb and MAL, Rumbling Hearts has done rather well despite it being quite old.

The animation style is hit-and-miss for the audience, not everyone enjoys the way that the characters look and that is okay.

We enjoyed the overall story and characters though and the animation looked rather charming to us. We would also give this anime a 7/10. It is definitely worth watching if you have the time.

The friends find themselves at war and struggle to stay friends. Despite this they hold out hope that they can return to their homeworld, they just need to find out how.

Our Thoughts

The plot surrounding this anime is really fun and that is why it has made it onto our Top Shoujo anime list. On top of a fascinating plot and intriguing characters, The Mysterious Play had a beautiful romantic story arc that was blended perfectly with action scenes.

While the animation style is a little dated, it is by no means bad and in our opinion makes the whole thing more charming and visually interesting. But, if you are an anime snob and only enjoy beautiful modern animation this may not be the right series for you.

Overall, it is a fantastic anime and received a relatively high score of 7.5.10 on IMDB and MAL. Our rating for this anime also lies in that region, and we would rate it a 7.8/10 overall.

Our Thoughts

The story of Inu x Boku SS deviates from the manga a little, so if you are a die-hard fan of the source material be prepared for this fact. Overall, this anime is actually quite fun and interesting.

The rom-com elements are sweet and one of the best features of this anime. It does have a gorgeous animation style which is sure to impress anyone that watches anime for the visuals alone.

While this anime looks entirely like a Manhou Shoujo anime with very little depth, it is actually an interesting story with mature emotional points. The creatures of this anime took a risk when they gave the main characters and supporting characters unconventional treatment and importance.

Our Thoughts

One of the most interesting points about this story is that it is not a traditional romance, not one with a happy ending at least. The story focuses more on Shizuku learning to understand her own emotions.

It leans really heavily into the comedic genre, but this is what makes My Little Monster such a charming and intriguing anime. IMDb gave it a score of 7.3/10 and My Anime List gave it a 7.5/10. Overall a really great score for a beautifully animated and fun story.
