Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV/ Radical Edward/ just plain old Ed is a child prodigy from the popular anime Cowboy Bebop.
She sports a shock of short, spiky red hair and is known for her eccentric nature, her comically large green goggles, and her androgynous style that often leads to her being mistaken for a boy (probably because she was originally designed to be a male character!).
Ed’s passion for technology and exceptional skills in hacking make her a force to be reckoned with who is likely one of the most- if not the absolute most- intelligent characters in the entire show.
Her giggliness and childlike behavior make her a super cute redhead, but her genius-level intellect and her exceptional skills at such a young age make her a much more three-dimensional character.

2. Shirayuki- Akagami No Shirayukihime
Shirayuki is the protagonist of the anime and the manga series Akagami no Shirayukihimi, and she is an incredibly brave character due to the nature of her background.
Born into a kingdom known as Tanbarun, Shirayuki fled to a nearby kingdom by the name of Clarines when she was a young adult.
She did this to escape from the Tanbarun crown prince- Raji- who tried to force her to become a concubine due to her beauty, including her uniquely red hair.
Shirayuki’s bravery is immediately clear due to her willingness to flee from her homeland to avoid merely becoming a concubine rather than having her own life.
Shirayuki is now a Court Herbalist and Pharmacist in Clarines, providing medicine to those who need it and representing the Royal Pharmacy at the Pharmacy Institute in the infamous Scholar’s District.
Her brave and defiant act of fleeing from Tanbarun allowed her to gain the skills necessary to become a healer and go on to help the people of Clarines.
Not only that, but her beauty is second to none, making her one of the most stunning redheads in anime as well as one of the bravest.

3. Rias Gremory- High School DXD
Rias is another anime protagonist- from High School DxD- with long, beautiful red hair and a strong personality.
Her hair color was inherited from her father, and she wears it long with loose bangs that cover her forehead and frame her face. She is an heiress to the Gremory Clan- a respected family of pure-blooded Devils- and the sole daughter of her parents.
Rias shows a lot of compassion and kindness to those who are close to her, as well as to the servants of the Gremory Clan.
However, her fiery nature is certainly a big part of her personality alongside her kindness, such as her active display of disgust towards those who act cruelly and her fiercely competitive streak.
Her role as the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess (named for her hair) involves wielding the Power of Destruction, and she is incredibly adept at doing so.
Rias’s regal nature combined with her beauty, her kindness, her incredible power as a High Devil, and the fiery side of her personality make her one of the most memorable red-headed anime girls.

4. Erza Scarlet- Fairy Tail
Erza is an S-Class Mage in the Fairy Tail Guild within the Fairy-Tail anime and is she is also a member of Team Natsu.
Her hair is the same scarlet shade as her name and she has bangs that cover her right eye (an artificial eye as she lost her real one when she was a child).
Erza has a strict and serious personality, often picking up on the bad habits and behaviors of her peers. She has an imposing nature, which is emphasized by her lack of patience.
This was brought on by a childhood tragedy, leading her to become isolated as her friends did not know how to handle her trauma.
Erza is incredibly passionate and skilled, but she judges herself severely because of her own high standards. She has incredible magical abilities as well as enhanced physical strength, making her an unstoppable force of nature when she needs to be.
Despite all this, she also is very caring and compassionate, particularly towards those closest to her. She also holds immense pride for her role within the Fairy Tail Guild.
She is most comfortable when in her armor and when fighting, and is always willing to put herself at risk in order to help others.
Even though she can be a little stoic- and even scary at times-, Erza has a heart of gold and is one of the most noteworthy red-headed anime beauties.

5. Shana- Shakugan No Shana
Shana spends most of her time masquerading as a student at Misaki Municipal High School to hide her true identity as a Flame Haze in the anime series and manga Shakugan no Shana.
The series depicts a war between our world and the Crimson Realm and its inhabitants known as the Crimson Denizens.
The most powerful of these inhabitants are called the Crimson Lords, and the Flame Haze’s are former humans that make contracts with these lords in order to gain superhuman abilities.
Shana is a character who became a Flame Haze of her own accord, granting her these powers and earning the titles of the “Flame Haired Burning Eyed Hunter” in relation to the bright red hair and eyes that she gains when she is in her Flame Haze form (she has dark hair and eyes when she is in her student form).
Shana initially seems like a cold character who has no interest in anything other than her duties as a Flame Haze.
She would protect humanity from the Crimson Denizens, but she had no care for them and would willingly sacrifice them if it was necessary.
She has almost no social skills, but she eventually becomes a kinder and more empathetic person thanks to those around her.
Her incredible combat skills and the countless times that she has saved humanity make Shana one of the bravest and most beautiful red-headed anime ladies.

6. Yona- Yona Of The Dawn
Yona is the titular protagonist of the anime and manga Yona of the Dawn- or Akatsuki no Yona- and she too has a head full of glorious crimson locks!
Yona is also another character on this list who comes from royalty, being the Crown princess of the Kouka Kingdom, and the heir of Queen Kashi and Emperor II.
She is the reincarnation of King Hiryuu too, making her even more royal than we thought possible!
Yona is a very brave and strong-willed anime character, as she had to flee her home of Hiryuu Castle on her 16th birthday following the murder of her father by her usurping cousin.
Although she did lead a sheltered life beforehand, witnessing the death of her father firsthand forced her into the life of a fugitive.
After escaping with her childhood friend Hak, she got him to train her to fight and became skilled in both sword fighting and archery.
Despite becoming a hardened warrior, being forced from her home, and seeing her father killed before her eyes, Yona still maintains her kindness and compassion, making her one of the most admirable, beautiful, and brave red-headed anime women.

7. Kurisu Makise- Steins; Gate
Although Kurisu is a character whose hair changes color across the Steins; Gate franchise as a whole, her hair in the anime is red.

She is often envied by her peers due to her achievements, for becoming such a revered name in the scientific community at her young age, and for her vast intellect.
Even her father grew bitter towards her for her accomplishments, which he felt were far superior to his own.
This attitude toward Kurisu led her to adopt a more acerbic and sarcastic persona, though it did not hinder her curiosity and her love for music and science.
Kurisu is undoubtedly a beautiful anime character, but she is also noteworthy for her intelligence and her incredible achievements in the field of science while still just a child.

Due to becoming experienced in battle whilst still a child, Yoko has a mature personality and a level head.
She can sometimes be aggressive when having to deal with uncooperative people, but she is also caring and kind-hearted.
Not only that, but she has earned a stellar reputation when it comes to fighting thanks to her unparalleled marksmanship. She is the resident sniper of the Dai-Gurren Brigade, outmatching any rival with her skills.
Yoko’s red hair is an extension of her fearsome nature in battle, as well as a beautiful addition to her as a character.

9. Chise Hatori- The Ancient Magus’ Bride

She sells herself at an auction in London so that she will finally have someone who cares for her. She ends up being bought by a magus, who has an animal skull for a head but a humanoid body.
Chise becomes the future bride of the magus- whose name is Elias Ainsworth- and she is an interesting character in her own right despite her fantastical co-star.
Chise is dedicated to starting a new life, no matter what it takes to do it.
Selling herself at auction is a huge gamble, but as she is an orphan who has been ostracized by the family that she does have- as well as her high school peers- Chise is willing to take the risk if it means finally having a place that she can call home where she will be accepted.
Chise is certainly a beautiful anime redhead, but the lengths that she is willing to go to obtain a brighter future also make her a particularly brave one.

She acts as the voice of reason, being rather formal and strict in her teaching methods to enforce the value of hard work.
She might be tough, but she also has a lot of care and love for her students and does everything she can to support them.
Lilith can be a bit prudish too, becoming embarrassed easily. Not only is Lilith a stunning red-haired beauty, but she is also highly skilled in her abilities and a kind and compassionate teacher to her students.
