Another student at Kuoh Academy, Rias Gremory, helps rescue Issei from Yuma. The next day Issei awakens next to Rias, who tells him that she turned him into a demon to save him, and now Issei is committed to Rias.

Originally a light novel series written by Ichiei Ishibumi, High School DxD received a great reception and has gained a massive fanbase of anime lovers all over the world.

It was adapted from a light novel series to a manga, and then to a television anime series. It can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

When translated, the manga series was so well rated that the English version reached 2nd place in the New York Times best-seller list.
